Taco Joes
About This Spot
Stepping into Taco Joes on Merrick Road feels like finding a friendly roadside haven where simple pleasures take center stage. It’s the kind of spot where the pace slows just enough to savor the moment, whether you’re dropping by on a busy afternoon or winding down after a long day. The recently refreshed storefront offers a welcoming vibe—familiar but refreshed—and it sets the tone for a relaxed yet lively experience inside.
The atmosphere here is casual and approachable, inviting a mix of neighborhoods locals and families to gather around colorful tacos and share stories over hearty portions. There’s an easy-going rhythm threaded through the service and the space itself, where you might pause to watch the hustle behind the counter or catch a familiar smile from the staff. The mood isn’t rushed; it’s about enjoying food that feels crafted with care without any fuss.
When it comes to the menu, Taco Joes strikes a thoughtful balance between classic and creative. The offerings go beyond a typical fast-food run—dishes like the Mesa Verde Burrito or Angel Peak Nachos bring a fresh, distinctive touch that stretches the usual taco joint expectations. There’s an unpretentious yet intentional nod to variety, reflected just as much in the salads and ready-to-heat dinners as in the crowd-pleasing favorites. It’s a place where each bite sparks a little joy, hinting at flavors designed to be shared and remembered.
Families especially find comfort here, with kid-friendly meals that come as complete, satisfying packages without skimping on quality or taste. It’s a spot where parents and children alike can settle in without fuss, making it less about formal dining and more about meaningful moments gathered around food.
Taco Joes quietly invites you to discover the local flavor of Massapequa through its own unique lens—where warmth and authenticity meet good food in a setting that feels like a pause from the everyday. It’s not flashy or loud, but rather a confidently steady slice of community life, one taco at a time.

Taco Joes not only has a beautiful new store front and sign which after talking with the staff has recently been renovated. The food and service were excellent. I had not been there for few weeks its a bit of trip, boy it was worth the extra five-minute drive. Thanks Taco Joe for a great experience!

The staff was not really helpful, but we manage to figure out what to eat on our own. First timer and we were a bit optimistic but my kids wanted to try it. They enjoyed it. The kids food came with chips, drink, Entrée and frozen yogurt all under 15.00.
